Grapes
Cabernet Sauvignon
Shiraz with depth and spice, from the rolling country north of Melbourne.
Dark berries, plum and spice, with concentration and tannins that can reward cellaring.
Cherry and savoury herbs, with a brighter, food-friendly edge than the region’s richest Shiraz.
Heathcote is strongly associated with Shiraz and its well-known Cambrian soils, though the wider region has several soil types. Smaller plantings of other grapes reward curious drinkers.
