Domaine Pignier

France

Domaine Pignier is a long-established family estate in Montaigu in the Jura, owned by the Pignier family since 1794 and now run by siblings Jean-Étienne, Antoine and Marie-Florence, with Thibaut joining the next generation. Farming is fully biodynamic and organic, certified by Demeter and Ecocert, with manual harvesting, massal selection, biodynamic preparations, plant tisanes, and a strong focus on biodiversity. In the cellar, the domaine works with indigenous yeasts, minimal sulfur and a non-interventionist approach, using oak, foudres, concrete eggs and terracotta vessels. Historic 13th-century Chartreux cellars are central to the estate’s identity and aging of its voile wines.
