Domaine A is a small single-vineyard estate in Tasmania’s Coal River Valley, producing Bordeaux-inspired reds and whites under the Stoney Vineyard label. Owned by David Walsh of Mona, the vineyard is under the custodianship of Moorilla winemaker Conor van der Reest. The estate’s 11 hectares are planted on 200-million-year-old Jurassic dolerite soils. Its approach emphasises hand labour, low-intervention winemaking and patience, allowing fruit to reach optimal ripeness and speak clearly. The resulting wines are approachable yet intensity-focused. No formal organic or biodynamic certification is mentioned.
