El Escocés Volante is a family-owned estate in Calatayud, Aragón, led by Scottish Master of Wine and head winemaker Norrel Robertson alongside his wife Sharon and sons James and Will. The estate farms old-vine Garnacha and other indigenous varieties organically, with regenerative practices in place since 2014, including cover crops, no pesticides and biochar production. Organic certification is pending, and the estate belongs to Spain’s Regenerative Viticulture Association. Its wines are aged with a low-impact approach, favoring concrete and limited oak, and bottled in 88% recycled glass.
