Founded in 1957 in the Piave area of Veneto, Italo Cescon is a family-owned winery based in Roncadelle di Ormelle, today run by Domenico, Gloria and Graziella Cescon with their mother, Chiara. Described as an artigiano del vino, the estate emphasizes a close link between soil and flavour, careful work from vineyard to bottle, and hands-on family oversight in the cellar. Its vineyards stretch from the Piave River to Valdobbiadene on alluvial, gravelly and clay-rich soils, with part of the estate farmed organically since 2009 and the remainder conventionally. A notable part of its history is the decision to bottle the entire harvest rather than sell wine in bulk, an early move for the area. The winery is particularly associated with the DOC Piave zone, including wines such as Raboso and Manzoni Bianco.
