Iris

United States

Founded in 1992, Iris Vineyards is a historic Willamette Valley producer and one of Oregon’s first 100 wineries. Privately owned by Richard Boyle and Pamela Frye, it farms its vineyards dry, without irrigation, reflecting a low-intervention approach; no formal sustainability certifications are noted. The winery focuses on Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir, including fruit from its cool-climate Chalice Vineyard in the foothills of the Oregon Coast Range. Winemaking is led by Nicole Walsh, with 29 vintages of experience, and Aaron Lieberman, winemaker since 2008. Their wines emphasize purity, balance, depth, and a clear sense of place.
