Domaine Tortochot

France

Domaine Tortochot is a fourth-generation family estate in Gevrey-Chambertin, in Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits, led by Chantal Tortochot, with Brigitte Tortochot also cited in current operations. The domaine farms Pinot Noir on limestone and marl soils and has worked organically since 2008, with Ecocert certification confirmed from 2013 and no chemical inputs since 2005. Vineyard work emphasizes natural-origin products, high-density planting, green harvest, low yields, and respect for natural cycles, soils, and exposures to express each parcel’s terroir. In the cellar, the approach includes hand harvesting and sorting, indigenous yeasts, gentle extraction, oak ageing adapted to the cuvée, and in some cases no fining or filtration. The range spans Grand Cru, Premier Cru, and village wines.
