Champagne De Vilmont is based in Rilly-la-Montagne, a Premier Cru area near Reims in France’s Champagne region. Its vineyards lie on predominantly south-facing hills, with limestone, chalk and marl soils that provide good drainage. The continental climate and slow grape ripening help preserve freshness and liveliness in the wines. Rooted in French Champagne tradition, the producer makes its wines using the classic Champenois method, expressing the elegant character of the terroir through fine perlage and pleasant aromatic intensity. The name pays tribute to the noble Marquis of San Crevés, François Alphonse Donatien De Vilmont, who lived in the late 18th century.
