Comelli Paolino is a family-owned winery in Colloredo di Soffumbergo, within Friuli Colli Orientali DOC, founded by Paolino Comelli in 1946 and now run by his grandsons Filippo and Nicola. Its south-facing vineyards benefit from Adriatic influences and protection from the Julian Pre-Alps, with Eocene marly-sandstone soils rich in limestone and minerals. The vines are Guyot-trained, and the modern winery, inaugurated in 2006, combines steel-tank vinification, French oak aging, bottling, and temperature-controlled bottle maturation. Production is overseen by Luciano Grudina, Cav. The family has also diversified into agritourism with regional and EU rural-development support.
