Clos du Beugnon is a family-owned estate of the Jouin family in La Fosse-de-Tigné, in the heart of Anjou between Saumur and Cholet. The family has cultivated vines here since 1895, now across five generations. Its vineyards reflect the region’s varied schist, clay-limestone and sandy soils, under a temperate oceanic climate influenced by the Loire. The domaine cultivates and vinifies a broad range of AOC, IGP and Vin de France wines, including Cabernet d’Anjou, Rosé de Loire and Chenin-based whites. Its Cabernet d’Anjou rosé is made from 100% Cabernet franc using gentle pressing and cool fermentation. The family describes its approach as respectful of people and the environment, with diverse fauna and flora among vines bordered by woodland and ponds.
