Producer

Caparzo

Italy

Caparzo is a historic Brunello producer in Montalcino, Tuscany, with its first vintage in 1970 and a place among the original 13 wineries of the appellation. A distinctive strength of the estate is its vineyard holdings across several geographic zones of Montalcino, allowing it to draw on varied microclimates, soils, and terroirs. The winery is described as combining meticulous, artisanal production techniques with a modern, efficient approach to management, while respecting Brunello tradition. In the cellar, it uses stainless steel and oak for élevage. Caparzo is owned and operated by Borgo Scopeto e Caparzo Srl Società Agricola.
