XXVI Talhas is a community-driven micro-producer from Vila Alva, Alentejo, founded and run by a group of friends and family to preserve the region’s Roman-origin talha wine tradition. The team revived the historic Adega Mestre Daniel and produces natural, low-intervention wines exclusively in restored clay amphorae, using foot-treading fermentation and grapes from old, dry-grown vines. Its very small-batch, artisanal wines reflect a strong commitment to heritage, education, and visitor experiences, rather than corporate-scale production. The project is crafted under the direction of winemaker Luis Pato; no formal sustainability certifications are listed.
