Château La Lagune

France

Château La Lagune is a historic Haut-Médoc estate in Bordeaux, with origins as a vineyard dating to around 1587 and classification as a 3rd Grand Cru Classé in 1855. Owned by the Frey family since 1999 and directed by Caroline Frey since 2004, it combines long heritage with a strong environmental commitment: the vineyards are certified organic and biodynamic, supported by biodiversity refuges, hedgerow planting, and conservation grazing. Winemaking is precise and terroir-focused, using gravity-fed, parcel-by-parcel vinification, meticulous hand and optical sorting, and élevage in French oak tailored by grape variety. The style aims to preserve the estate’s hallmark finesse, elegance, balance, and fruit.
