L'Ecole No. 41

United States

L’Ecole № 41 is a third-generation family-owned winery in Washington’s Walla Walla Valley, founded in 1983 in a historic 1915 schoolhouse. Led by Marty and Megan Clubb, it is rooted in estate vineyards including Ferguson and Seven Hills, with additional long-term fruit partnerships in the Columbia Valley. The winery farms its vineyards under Certified Sustainable, Salmon Safe, and Washington sustainability certifications. Its approach is terroir-driven and hands-on, with close control in the vineyard and restrained, minimal-intervention cellar work to preserve balance, purity, and site character. L’Ecole is especially known for Bordeaux-style reds, age-worthy single-vineyard blends, Semillon, and acclaimed Merlot.
