Producer

Ugolini Vini

Italy

Ugolini Vini is a family-rooted producer in Fumane, at the heart of Valpolicella Classica, based at the historic Villa San Michele on the Bure hill. The estate’s vineyards form a natural amphitheatre among olive, cherry and cypress trees, with six vineyards managed in the denomination. The family has restored the villa and surrounding dry-stone terraces, including a project to rebuild the historic marògne using traditional stoneworking methods. Vineyard work follows a stated sustainable approach that avoids glyphosate and harmful products, encourages deep-rooted vines and relies on manual harvesting. Ugolini focuses on expressing the singularity of the Valle di Fumane through Valpolicella wines, including Amarone and Recioto made by controlled grape drying, as well as limited-production “I Vini del Privilegio.” Tours and tastings connect the wines with the estate’s history, landscape and culture.
