Château Poumey

France

Château Poumey is a Bordeaux estate owned by the City of Gradignan since 1988 and its last remaining wine property. The 10.5-hectare vineyard includes 9 hectares of red grapes and 1.5 hectares of white grapes, producing both red and white wines. Château Pape Clément managed the estate from 1995, while Domaine de Chevalier has operated it on the city’s behalf since 2020. Its stated objective is to practise organic viticulture adapted to the local environment, although no certification is specified.
