Founded in 1956 by 22 winegrowers, Cantina del Vermentino Monti is a member-owned cooperative in Monti, Gallura, now run by around 350 growers farming granite-rich vineyards across northern Sardinia. Vermentino di Gallura is its defining focus, expressed in a broad range of styles including fresh and structured whites, sparkling wines, barrel-aged bottlings and passito, alongside local reds such as Cannonau. The cooperative emphasizes continuous research in viticulture and winemaking, careful selection and high quality standards. Its Funtanaliras is closely associated with the estate and with Vermentino di Gallura DOCG, established in 1996. The winery also organizes Monti’s annual Sagra del Vermentino, founded in 1992.
