Cannonau di Sardegna explores the island’s famous red grape through varied landscapes and wine types.
Red berries, dried herbs and spice, with warmth and tannins shaped by ripeness and ageing.
Fresh berry fruit with a lighter touch than the denomination’s reds.
Cannonau di Sardegna DOC covers the whole island, so producer and more precise origin can reveal substantial differences. Cannonau belongs to the Grenache family and yields both red and rosé expressions. Classico has a narrower geographical and production framework. Riserva, rosato and liquoroso identify different wine types rather than one uniform Cannonau style.
