Piazzo is a family-run winery in San Rocco Seno d’Elvio near Alba, founded in the 1960s by Armando Piazzo and Gemma Veglia and now managed by their daughter Marina, her husband Franco, and the next generation. The family farms vineyards across Langhe and Roero, with a stated commitment to sustainability and to combining artisanal tradition with innovative techniques. Their range focuses on the region’s classic varieties, including Barolo, Barbaresco, Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, Roero Arneis, Moscato and Chardonnay. Individual vineyard expressions are central to the estate, from the structured, elegant Barbaresco Pajorè and Fratín to the austere Barolo Sottocastello di Novello and the plum-scented Dolcetto Buran. The winery also produces Alta Langa and a Nebbiolo traditional-method sparkling wine.
