Il Signor Kurtz is a small-scale producer in Umbria, led by Marco Durante. The vineyards are farmed organically, without formal certification, on clay soils. The portfolio comprises 13 wines, primarily Sangiovese-based reds. Fermentation takes place in open vats, followed by lees ageing in stainless-steel tanks. The resulting wines are dry and herbal, with firm tannins and aromas of blackberry, tobacco, and rosemary.
