Valpolicella Superiore

Falezze is a small, family-run winery in Illasi, in the Mezzane Valley of Valpolicella, operated by the Anselmi family for three generations and more than 85 years. Luca Anselmi personally oversees the vineyard work and winemaking, with production deliberately limited and artisanal. The estate has recently completed organic certification, following organic principles and avoiding chemical interventions while cultivating its vineyards exclusively with the traditional Veronese pergola system. Its calcareous Falezze terroir includes historic vines and classic Valpolicella varieties such as Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella. Wines express color, structure, power, character and austere elegance, using traditional methods including appassimento modellato and ripasso fermentation.
