Grenache Blanc, Grenache Gris and Macabeu.

Floral fruit and honey, sometimes developing dried citrus and nutty depth through ageing.

Where it grows: Around Banyuls-sur-Mer, Collioure, Port-Vendres and Cerbère on the Côte Vermeille.

Banyuls is a vin doux naturel, fortified to retain sweetness. Fruit-led rimage and wood-aged styles taste quite different; nearby Collioure is the dry-wine appellation.
