About Conca de Barberà DO

Where it grows

In an inland basin in northern Tarragona province, around the Francolí and Anguera valleys and sheltered by surrounding ranges.

Trepat gives Conca de Barberà DO a distinctive voice, bringing red-fruit perfume and a relatively light touch to rosé and red wines. It is a red-skinned grape, even when the finished wine is pink. Macabeu and Parellada provide white-wine routes through the same landscape. The inland setting and varied elevations distinguish the area from the nearby coast. Explore a Trepat red alongside a rosé to see how winemaking changes the expression of one local variety.
