Savuto has a distinct blended-wine tradition, with white, red and rosé types offering different routes through local grapes. Its valley and hillside settings make it a useful contrast to Calabria’s Ionian coastal origins. The blend and ageing details are especially helpful here: a regional red-grape name alone does not explain the full composition or character of a Savuto bottle.
