Coteaux du Quercy offers a Cabernet Franc-led alternative to nearby Malbec country, with fragrant reds and refreshing rosés.
Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Merlot, Tannat.
Red berries, herbs and spice with freshness and a dry, structured palate.
Cabernet Franc is central; permitted supporting grapes vary.
Redcurrant, strawberry and citrus with a fresh palate.
Cabernet Franc is central to Coteaux du Quercy AOP, supported by grapes including Malbec, Merlot and Tannat. The limestone-and-clay hill country provides a more specific origin than a broad Southwest France label. Reds and rosés share the appellation but take different paths in the cellar. Explore a red for structure and herbal perfume, then compare a rosé for a lighter expression of the same local grape family.
