Rías Baixas DO offers Atlantic whites led by Albariño, with local blends adding another dimension.
Albariño.
Citrus and orchard-fruit flavours with lively acidity; lees ageing can add a broader texture.
Albariño is a grape, while Rías Baixas is a protected origin. A bottle labelled Rías Baixas Albariño is a varietal expression; other white types can combine local grapes. Lees ageing and longer maturation offer alternatives to a young, immediately fruity style. Small red-wine and sparkling traditions add further interest. The full label helps distinguish grape, subzone and method.
