Mudgee combines inland New South Wales sunshine with elevated vineyard country, offering structured reds and expressive Chardonnay.
Syrah.
Plum, dark berries and spice with a generous palate and firm tannins.
Blackcurrant, herbs and cedar-like detail with a dry, structured finish.
Peach and citrus with a rounded palate; lees and oak can add breadth.
Mudgee’s vineyards occupy a varied inland landscape with warm growing seasons and cooler nights. Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon offer two rewarding red-wine introductions, while Chardonnay adds a white-wine perspective. Site, elevation and seasonal conditions vary across the registered region, so no single soil or flavour describes every bottle. Mudgee is a distinct geographical indication from neighbouring Orange; their shared Central Ranges setting is a starting point for comparison rather than a shared recipe.
