Grapes
Cabernet Franc
Cabernet Franc with the freshness and fine texture of Saumur’s limestone hills.
Cabernet Franc leads; Cabernet Sauvignon and Pineau d’Aunis may play smaller roles.
Raspberry, red and dark berries, flowers and a gently savoury finish.
The pale tuffeau limestone is part of the local landscape. Young bottles can be wonderfully fragrant, while selected sites give more structured reds.
