Muscat of Rio Patras is a small sweet-wine origin bringing White Muscat’s aromatic character to the eastern side of Patras.
Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains.
Aromatic citrus, floral and ripe-fruit notes with sweetness; the balance and depth depend on preparation and ageing.
Rio Patras has its own protected sweet-white-wine origin, separate from the broader Muscat of Patras designation. Both use White Muscat, rather than Muscat of Alexandria. Sun drying and fortification provide different routes to sweet wine, while ageing can deepen the flavours. The shared grape therefore does not make the two origins identical. Compare the complete designation and wine type for a clearer picture of each bottle.
