Weingut Karp-Schreiber is a family-owned estate in Brauneberg on the Mosel, founded in 1664 and now led by Jobst-Julius Karp, the 13th generation. Certified organic, the winery focuses strongly on biodiversity, with bee, insect and lizard hotels, vegetation between rows, and careful vineyard work in steep-slope sites. In the cellar, grapes are gently pressed, fermented cool in stainless steel, and partly matured in traditional 1,000-liter Fuder barrels. Riesling is the main focus, alongside small amounts of Sauvignon Blanc and red varieties. The estate also receives public support for its steep-slope viticulture through the EULLE/ELER rural development program.
