Arietta

United States

Arietta is a family-owned Napa Valley winery founded in 1996 by Fritz and Caren Frutig Hatton. Working with grapes from respected growers in sites including Hudson Vineyards, Coombsville, Sonoma Mountain, and Howell Mountain, the estate focuses on Bordeaux-style red blends and Sauvignon Blanc–Sémillon. Winemaker Andy Erickson, who joined in 2005 and assumed full winemaking control with the 2006 vintage, has developed the portfolio alongside associate winemaker Patrick Nyeholt. The Arietta name reflects the family’s belief that great wines should “sing,” with balance, vibrancy, depth, and complexity. Its classical-music inspiration extends to the Beethoven-influenced label design. Tastings are offered by appointment at the Hudson Winery in Carneros.
