Vallana

Italy

Vallana is a family-owned producer in Alto Piemonte, rooted in the Novara hills, with family wine traditions dating to 1787 and the current estate established in 1937. Still run by Vallana descendants, with Francis and Marina Fogarty overseeing operations, the estate is closely tied to its heritage and to native varieties, especially Nebbiolo (Spanna). Vallana emphasizes terroir expression, drawing on sites in Boca DOC and Gattinara DOCG within the Sesia-Val Grande UNESCO Global Geopark. The house style centers on uniqueness, typicity and elegance, combining techniques handed down through generations with ongoing refinement. Its wines are noted for their classic, long-lasting character.
