Roberto Voerzio

Italy

Roberto Voerzio is a family-owned estate founded in 1986 in La Morra, in the heart of Piedmont’s Langhe, with vineyards in La Morra and Barolo, including sites such as Brunate and La Serra. Some of these historic vineyard names appear in municipal records dating back to 1350. Led by owner-winemaker Roberto Voerzio, the estate is known for vineyard-focused Barolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto from very low-yield vines, with hand harvesting, short pruning, and severe summer thinning. Farming is traditional and carried out without chemical fertilizers, herbicides, or anti-mold products, with manual fertilization according to each vine’s needs. In the cellar, fermentation is spontaneous with indigenous yeasts, élevage includes older French oak for many wines, and bottlings are unfined and unfiltered, with an emphasis on preserving each vineyard’s character.
