Les Petites Sardines

France

Les Petites Sardines is made under the label of family-run Vignobles Gunther-Chereau in Le Pallet, within the Muscadet region of the Loire Valley. It comes from a small cooperative of ten vineyard-owning members, who bottle part of their own harvest and pool the remainder for a larger blend. The cooperative’s president, himself a vineyard owner, oversees winemaking. The group focuses on sustainably farmed old vines and low-intervention winemaking. Its Le Pallet vineyards include sandy sites with either light Roches Blanches or dark Roches Noires, reflecting the area’s varied geology.
