Founded in 2017 in South Africa’s Western Cape, Lautus is a family-owned producer specialising in de-alcoholised wines. Founder, sole owner and winemaker Reg Holder runs the company full-time, combining traditional winemaking with spinning-cone vacuum technology to remove alcohol while preserving aromas. Grapes are hand-selected from regions chosen for terroir and quality, with the Savvy Red sourced from Holder’s family farm in the Olifants River Valley. Lautus’ wines are vegan-friendly, and the range is offered in bottles and cans. The producer has no tasting room but can host tastings at customer venues.
