Château Alcée

France

Château Alcée is a family-run estate on a limestone plateau in Castillon, Bordeaux, acquired by Nicolas Thienpont in 2011 and operated with his son Cyrille. The vineyard is farmed using sustainable, organic techniques, without stated formal certification, and is planted mainly to Merlot with Cabernet Franc. With vines averaging 40 years old, the estate’s wines reflect the character of its limestone site and the Thienpont family’s hands-on approach to production.
