Vignaioli Contrà Soarda

Italy

Founded in 1999 by Mirco and Gloria Gottardi, Vignaioli Contrà Soarda is a family-run estate in the hills of Bassano del Grappa, Veneto, now managed with the second generation, Eleonora and Marcello. Its vineyards lie on distinctive volcanic lapillus soils, shaped by mountain breezes, thermal variation and the influence of the Brenta. Certified organic and guided by biodynamic principles, the estate uses cover crops, organic fertilization, biodiversity-focused farming and natural bread-based treatments. Wines are made with spontaneous fermentation and very low intervention, without unnecessary additives, to express their site. A hillside bio-architectural cellar uses gravity-fed movement and geothermal temperature control to reduce energy use and environmental impact. The family’s agricultural and gastronomic tradition reaches back to 1904, while the MUSSO project produces limited-edition terroir cuvées dedicated to the estate’s donkeys.
