Tenuta di Capezzana

Italy

Tenuta di Capezzana is a historic, family-owned estate in Carmignano, Tuscany, acquired by Alessandro Contini Bonacossi in the 1920s and now managed by the fourth and fifth generations. Vines and olives have been cultivated here since Etruscan times, with records dating to 804 AD. The estate follows certified organic practices, including cover cropping and respect for biodiversity, and uses indigenous yeasts alongside innovative techniques to express the territory. Its wines and olive oils reflect a philosophy that combines tradition with a forward-looking approach. Historic cellars and long-standing productions, including Vinsanto made since 1925, reinforce the estate’s deep connection to Carmignano.
