Domaine Gérard Julien

France

Domaine Gérard Julien is a family-owned Côte de Nuits estate in Burgundy, run by Étienne Julien, who represents the fourth or fifth generation of the Julien family. With vineyards in Nuits-Villages, Nuits-Saint-Georges and Échezeaux Grand Cru, the domaine is rooted in traditional family farming and a long-term, quality-focused approach. Étienne oversees both vineyard work and winemaking, including vinification and barrel ageing. The estate follows a low-intervention, organic-minded lutte raisonnée approach without formal certification, with controlled yields and careful sorting in the vineyard and cellar. The style reflects hands-on family stewardship, sustainability, and respect for the character of the sites.
