Secondo Marco

Italy

Secondo Marco is a family-owned winery led by Marco Speri in Fumane, in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, Veneto. Rooted in family tradition while open to innovation, the estate focuses on terroir-driven Amarone, Ripasso, Valpolicella and Recioto. Vineyards are planted to native Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella, trained with the traditional Pergoletta Veronese system, including a distinctive Y-shaped pergola to improve light and airflow. Farming is organic-minded, with green manure and native yeasts. In the cellar, Marco Speri emphasizes patience and the character of the grapes, with extended aging in large Slavonian oak and bottle before release.
