J.C. Somers Vintner is a boutique Oregon producer owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Jay Christopher Somers and Ronda Newell-Somers. Working with carefully selected, sustainably farmed vineyard sites in the Willamette Valley, the estate produces very small quantities of focused, elegant, terroir-driven wines. Jay, who has made wine in the region for more than 30 years, follows an Old World philosophy centered on patience, balance, length, and minimal intervention. The wines are made according to biodynamic principles in an artisanal style, with releases emphasizing quality over quantity. Jay also serves as Director of Winemaking at Anne Amie Vineyards.
