Producer

Hooks Bay

New Zealand

Hooks Bay is a New Zealand producer with vineyards in Marlborough and Hawke’s Bay, committed to protecting soil and water. A fully accredited and regularly audited member of Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand since 1996, it uses moisture-probe technology and underground aquifers only when necessary to manage water. Mulching, compost and inter-row plantings of grasses, chicory and buckwheat support soil health, beneficial insects and reduced pesticide use. Low-impact tractors help limit compaction and fuel consumption, while the winery’s design prioritises energy efficiency.
