Victor Ausejo is a small artisanal microproject based in Alberite, in Rioja Oriental’s Iregua Valley, producing wines under D.O.Ca. Rioja. Founded in 2018 and operated by Victor Ausejo, it works with vineyards within 10 km of the winery, focusing on traditional minority varieties including Garnacha Blanca, Garnacha Tinta and Mazuelo. The project seeks to express the identity of the Iregua Valley through red and white single-varietal wines, moving beyond Rioja’s ubiquitous Tempranillo. Its viticulture uses organic fertilizer and avoids herbicides and systemic products, with no formal sustainability certification reported. Winemaking takes place in a micro-winery workshop with minimal intervention.
