Orsi Vigneto San Vito

Italy

Vigneto San Vito is a family-run, privately owned estate in the Colli Bolognesi near Bologna, led by Federico Orsi with Carola Orsi. Since taking over in 2005, they have focused on distinctive, non-standardized wines that express the territory. Certified organic and biodynamic, and part of Co.Vi.Bio, they farm old vines at around 200 meters without irrigation, fertilization, or synthetic products. In the cellar, the approach is minimal intervention: spontaneous fermentations with indigenous yeasts, no fining or filtration, and low sulfites. The farm follows a closed-loop model that also includes vegetables, cereals, free-range Mora Romagnola pigs and sheep, helping preserve biodiversity.
