Giesen Wines is a family-owned New Zealand producer founded in 1981 by brothers Theo, Alex and Marcel Giesen, who remain in direct control of the business. Based in Marlborough, they also work with sites in Hawke’s Bay, Waipara and the Southern Valleys, including the certified organic Clayvin Vineyard, known for its clay soils and high-density planting. Sustainability is a clear focus, with BioGro-certified organic vineyards and broader certification under Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand. Their style spans both conventional wines and premium 0% alcohol bottlings, using spinning cone technology for dealcoholization, alongside Riesling and other regional wines sourced from across Marlborough’s sub-regions.
