Domaine La Ligière is a fifth-generation family estate in the Rhône Valley, near the Dentelles de Montmirail, owned and run by Philippe Bernard and Elizabeth Serra since 2008. After leaving a local cooperative, they established their own cellar and continue the family’s viticultural tradition, which began in the late 19th century. The estate is certified organic and biodynamic, with vines cultivated without herbicides or chemical treatments. Grapes are hand-harvested and fermented with natural yeasts, using organic compost and biodynamic preparations; wines are bottled without fining or filtration. Vineyards span appellations including Vacqueyras, Beaumes-de-Venise, Gigondas and Côtes-du-Rhône, on arid soils of red clay and rolled pebbles exposed to the Mistral.
