Domaine Jean-Marc & Thomas Bouley

France

Domaine Jean-Marc & Thomas Bouley is a family-owned Burgundy estate in Volnay, with the Bouley family farming there since 1919 and fourth-generation Thomas Bouley leading the domaine since 2012, alongside Jean-Marc. The estate works a patchwork of parcels across Volnay, Pommard, Beaune and Meursault, with production focused mainly on red wines. Viticulture is organic in practice though not certified, with no herbicides or chemical fertilizers, regular ploughing, grass cover between rows, and careful hand work including pruning, debudding and top-thinning. In the cellar, Thomas Bouley favors indigenous yeasts, minimal intervention and restrained use of new oak, aiming to express each site clearly.
