Clos Saint-Julien

France

Clos Saint-Julien is a very small Saint-Émilion estate owned and operated by Catherine Papon Nouvel, who succeeded the Goudichaud-Rochard family. Its vineyard is farmed exclusively organically and holds Demeter, Biodyvin, and Growing Tomorrow certifications. The estate’s sustainability program emphasizes soil health, reduced pesticide use, water management, climate adaptation, and biodiversity. With a highly concentrated vineyard and a harvest completed in just two days, Clos Saint-Julien produces in very limited quantities, reflecting its artisanal scale and hands-on approach.
