Chile

Galáctica is a Chilean label produced for Brazos Wine Imports, sourcing grapes from estate-owned and purchased vineyards in the cool microclimates of the Central Valley, with some Cabernet from three vineyards in Maule. The vineyards and winery are Certified Sustainable, with silty granitic and, in some parcels, alluvial soils of sandy loam and clay. Winemakers Ricardo Baettig and Daniela Salinas, both from Viña Morandé, craft Sauvignon Blanc in stainless steel, while Cabernet is aged in neutral oak and steel. The wines reflect cool conditions and pronounced diurnal temperature shifts.
