Domaine La Bruyère

France

Domaine La Bruyère is a seventh-generation family estate in France’s Loire Valley, founded in 1850 and now owned and operated by Édouard Labruyère. The domaine farms vineyards including the exclusive monopole Le Clos du Moulin-à-Vent, with clay-limestone soils and a flint layer, under sustainable-agriculture principles. Vineyard work is largely manual, with horse-drawn ploughing, low mechanisation, spur-pruning and traditional gobelet training. Winemaking is led by Nadine Gublin, who has been with the estate since 1988, alongside chef de culture Michel Rovere, since 1984. The domaine’s small-volume production and nature-respecting approach reflect a long-standing, hands-on family tradition.
